Jeff Little Trio
Mixing Appalachian traditions and an innovative edge, the Jeff Little Trio delivers high-energy shows fueled by amazing musicianship. Rooted in music from the Blue Ridge mountains, Jeff’s virtuosic piano drives their powerful sound, with intricate and expressive guitar, banjo and mandolin mingling rich melodies and rhythmic drive. They aim to bridge past and present, resonating both history and innovation.
From NPR to international stages, their shows have captivated audiences across the globe. Jeff has not only been recognized as a critically acclaimed musician but also a true music innovator. Steve Lewis, a master of both guitar and banjo, adds a rich layer of musicianship to the trio’s sound. Luke Little’s skillful playing on mandolin brings energy and a modern approach to the group’s performances.
Performances include The Smithsonian Institution, The National Folk Festival, American Piano Masters, The Barns of Wolf Trap and many theatres, performing arts centers, and festivals. Jeff has been featured on National Public Radio and PBS many times and has also taken his music around the world for the US Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. In 2014 Jeff was inducted into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame.
